Children's Advocacy Centers in Tennessee

The mission of the Tennessee Chapter of Children's Advocacy Centers is to promote, assist, and support development, growth, and continuation of child advocacy centers in their service to abused and neglected children and their families.

The Tennessee Chapter of CACs is a statewide not-for-profit membership organization. There are currently 32 Child Advocacy Centers that are members of the Tennessee Chapter. An additional two CAC Task Forces are in various stages of development.

Children's Advocacy Centers are located in both rural and urban communities across the state. In 2006, Tennessee Chapter member programs served nearly 14,000 children in Tennessee. In addition, the Tennessee Chapter provides technical assistance, training, and other resources to all communities seeking to plan, establish, expand, or sustain a Children's Advocacy Center.
