FIRST LADY ANDREA CONTE LEADS WALKS FOR CHILD ADVOCACY CENTERS
SIX WALKS SCHEDULED FOR MONTH OF APRIL

Nashville – Tennessee First Lady Andrea Conte has announced the dates for AndreaWalks IV events in the month of April. Conte, a longtime advocate for victims’ rights issues, launched the AndreaWalks initiative in 2004 to promote National Child Abuse Prevention Month and raise much-needed funds for Tennessee’s Child Advocacy Centers.

"Child Advocacy Centers provide comprehensive support programs for children who are the victims of sexual or severe physical abuse and their families," Conte said. "Walking for these children is something we can do both to raise awareness and to support our local Child Advocacy Centers in this critically important work."

In the inaugural year of AndreaWalks, First Lady Conte walked more than 600 miles between all of the Child Advocacy Centers across the state and raised approximately $1.3 million in cash and in-kind donations for these organizations.

This year, AndreaWalks IV includes six events to be held in April in Anderson, Scott, Davidson, Lincoln, Rutherford and Cannon Counties. Interested participants in these locations may contact their local Child Advocacy Center for more information or to register.
